These types of fins are semi-crimped and wrapped under tension around the outside of the base tube. Fins are either tack welded or crimpd to the base tube at each end of the tube. These finned tubes can be further HOT DIPPED GALVANISED for surface protection where as the deposition of Zinc also adds up to the efficiency of finned tubes. Used in Air Heating OR Air Cooling up to 1500 C to 1800 C using Steam / Thermic Fluid / Hot Water as Heating Media OR Water as Cooling Media.
Crimped finned tubes are commonly used in applications
with metal temperatures up to 260 degrees C.
